Sea Swimming Coach | Ocean Advocate | Cold Water Confidence Expert
I’m Kirsty Hogben, a sea swimming coach and sea safety educator based in Kent.
I’ve swum in the sea for over 1000 consecutive days, coaching more than 600 swimmers since 2021, from complete beginners to Channel swimmers.
My work focuses on sea confidence, cold water adaptation, sea safety and helping people build a healthier relationship with the ocean.

MY STORY
I didn’t set out to become a coach.
My journey began with a personal commitment to swim in the sea every day. Over time, that became over 1000 consecutive days in open water.
Through that experience, I began to understand not just swimming technique, but how deeply the sea affects confidence, fear, regulation and mindset.
As more people began asking for guidance, I started coaching - helping swimmers move from fear and hesitation into confidence and independence in the water.
Today, I work with swimmers of all levels, helping them feel safer, stronger and more connected in the sea.
